Background：
Serum albumin is produced by the liver, occurs dissolved in blood plasma and is the most abundant blood protein in mammals. Albumin is essential for maintaining the oncotic pressure needed for proper distribution of body fluids between blood vessels and body tissues. Abnormal serum albumin levels indicates dysfunction of kidneys or liver. This antibody is antigen affinity purified by human serum albumin, with much higher sensitivity than antiserum or IgG fraction, making it a necessary compentent for quantitive detection reagents of trace albumin in samples.
